Definition of Term

holoblastic
(English) Type of cleavage in which the entire egg, including the yolk, undergoes division, also an egg, the whole of which undergoes cleavage, usually those with litte yolk, e.g. Amphioxi, Petromyzoniformes, Acipenseridae, Amiidae, Lepisosteidae.
