Type locality of the holotype of Barbus apoensis: 'permanent stream near Khamis Mushyat, 18°17'N, 42°34'E' (Ref. 113720). Known from Al Hijaz mountain range in wadis draining inland or towards the Red Sea (Ref. 94477), including Wadi Dawasir drainage system (Ref. 13617), Khamis Mushyat, Wadi Turabah near At Ţaif, Wadi Adamah, Wadi Habayaba, and Wadi Buwah. It is locally consumed (Ref. 129076). |
