Remarque | Locality: Pajaro Dunes beach north of Monterey, California. Prey size: 1.8 m, 82 kg male. The shape and orientation of the scars noted on the sperm whale's body suggest that they were inflicted by a large predator. The width of the bite marks and the spacing between tooth scars indicate that the predator may have measured about 4-5 m. |
