Extent of pigmentation (- = absence to trace; + = 1% to under 25%; ++ = 25% to under 75%; +++ = 75% or more): upper lip, ++ (77% of specimens) or +++ (23%); subocular, + (22), ++ (74%) or +++ (4%); upper branchial, ++ (8%) or +++ (92%); lower branchial - (100%); caudal fin, + (30%), ++ (67%) or +++ (3%). Lateral line neuromasts unpigmented. Caudal fin shape, rounded. Metamorphosing ammocoetes: 84-182 mm TL. |
