At 14.0-14.5 mm, this size range represents young juveniles. At this stage, body is elongate and cylindrical, head is triangular, mouth is small and oblique, eyes round and of moderat size, and rays on every fin present. Blotches of melanophores more or less are regularly spaced on the dorso-lateral surface of the body, patches on the fore- and hind brain and a more diffuse large band of melanophores from the tip of the snout to the end of the caudal peduncle. All fins are unpigmented except for the base of caudal, dorsal, and anal fins and the extremity of the adipose fin. |
