Comments: Spawning occurs during the spring, beginning mid-March in the southern part of the range and extending well into May at the northern end. It occurs in major rivers or in tributaries, over coarse sand and pea-sized gravel in water up to 7.6 m deep. Fecundity increases with size and age of the individual (Ref. 27547).
