Diagnosis: |
Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 7-7. This species differs from other congeners by having the following characters: absence of strong anal-fin spine; presence of muscular band on the dorsum of the pelvic-fin base; absence of scales on the dorsum of paired fin or the region between axilla of pectiral fin and pelvic-fin origin; pelvic-fin tip not reaching anus; lateral line with 78-82 scales; pelvic fin with simple rays (Ref. 94403).
