Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: restricted to the Cape Verde.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 17-19
Biology:  Epipelagic species (Ref. 27000), inhabiting offshore surface waters. Feeds mainly on small fishes. Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs may be found attached to objects in the water by tendrils on the egg's surface (Ref. 205). Maximum length in body length.
