Max. size:  35 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Ghana to Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-21; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 14-17. Back dark brown in color; sides and belly light brown; irregular brown lines covering entire body except belly; soft dorsal and anal fins with oblique brown stripes (Ref. 4107).
Biology:  Inhabits coastal waters (Ref. 2683).
