Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: north of East London to Algoa Bay, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 27-30; Dorsal soft rays (total): 3-5; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 18-19
Biology:  Found in subtidal areas.
