Remarks Found in shallow, clear and swift-flowing water, 50-100 cm deep composed of rocks, sand and macrophytes substrates. This species is relatively abundant at the sampled locality and found synthophic with Cetopsorhamdia iheringi, Characidium sp., Corydoras sp., Eigenmannia gr. trilineata, Gymnotus sp., Hoplias cf. malabaricus, Phenacorhamdia cf. tenebrosa, Rhamdia quelen (Ref. 128922).
