Các chú thích | According to fishers, spawning aggregations form in May and June around the full moon (approximately two weeks before actual spawning) in the Ngermukaol Channel. Mokas may be taken with baited hooks until a day or two before spawning occurs. But from the ninth to the twelfth day after the full moon fishers work in pairs because they have observed that a baited fish pulled out of the water is followed by a second individual to the surface. The upward trajectory of the baited fish is apparently mistaken as a spawning behavior. The second individual is speared as it reaches the surface. Also Ref. 10494, 100789. |
