Remarks 'laquaiche' is probably a composite of 'laque', i.e., varnish and 'aiche', i.e., bait; 'aux yeux 'd'or', i.e., with golden eyes; 'or' from Latin 'aurum' (p. 512 in Ref. 9404) and probably refers to the striking bright yellow color of the large pupils of this species (Ref. 1998).
